Concept Development (Team)
As part of an effort to re-establish Byron's reputation as the best burger on the high street, and to get people to re-consider them, they built a brand new menu for the summer including several brand new burgers, catering for vegetarian, vegan and 'flexitarian' appetites.
Steve Davies (CD), Bruce Taylor (AD) and I worked tirelessly, on a very tight deadline, to imagine what the next exciting chapter in the evolution of Byron's visual brand could be. Based on the concept Steve initially presented, Bruce and I came up with 20 ideas in 2 days. The client picked their top 5 and I went to work writing the photography brief, sourcing the props and arranging photographers to bring the concepts to life. 2 days later I was in the studio directing the photoshoot and just one week later the final prints were winging their way to restaurants around the country in time for the fanfare.
The final assets brought the new menu items to life with a bright contrasting colour scheme themed to its USP, combined with an abstract propped element that gave a tongue in cheek nod to the burgers flavour profile, roots or ingredients. An intense, but fun, few weeks!
